Can you say: bye bye .DS_Store?

Doing a lot of version controlled coding? Don’t you just hate those completely unneeded .DS_Store files in your repo’s. Yeah, me too.

So, here is a smart solution that prevents .DS_Store pollution by storing them buggers in a hidden folder (/usr/local/.dscage).

Update 2016-09-09:

This no longer works under El Capitan or Sierra without disabling System Integrity Protection. I can’t recommend disabling System Integrity Protection.
